This week’s Frugal Friday post is prompted by me cutting up t-shirts for rags. I need rags that I can use and just throw away if they are too “icky”. If not, they can be washed with a load of clothes and used over and over,
I’m sure many of you are like me and make use of old t-shirts to cut up for rags. They are great for tons of different cleaning projects. Men love them when working on cars, and it sure beats paying for rags!
I use rags for rug making as well, so it’s the tops of the t-shirts that I can’t cut in rounds for my rags. I had a pile of t-shirts that I had brought home from the church rummage sale to cut up this round.
Not that I needed another project, but once I had the t-shirts cut, I started yet another rug. (I also have already used several out of the bag for cleaning.)
I’m also in the process of making a latch hook rug with small t-shirt strips. It’s a project that came into my head, but harder than I thought it would be! You can see a picture of my progress so far in my WIP post from this week HERE.
I would love for you to comment on ways that you use old t-shirts.
