It was hard for me to believe that it’s been 2 weeks since I’ve written. Actually, it’s not hard to believe with family get together’s and church activities keeping me busy with the holidays. A wonderful time of the years, but sure a busy one!
I’m starting this year that same as any other day. I’m sitting here surrounded by 4 different projects. (One will be revealed in next week’s post.)
Currently on my machine is my zipped kitties quilt. Everything to finish this quilt has been in a project back for way too long!
Hanging on the wall in front me in a project bag was this t-shirt latch hook rug that I started forever ago. I put in a few more strips last night. This morning I’ve been sitting here off and on cutting more strips to add to my bag.
I made up a project bag just for the monsters and apples made with “snippets”. As I’ve talked about so much already, they are ideas in Janellea’s Scrapstashtic Quilts book. Yes, right now, this is my favorite book. This is a great bag to just grab and go to work on away from home at sewing group, at movie day at church, etc.
As far as goals for the new year, it’s the same as every year……to finish these numerous projects that are started! Maybe this might finally be the year that I make the goal. Yep, time will tell on that one.
Looks like the SoScrappy color challenge in January is greens—light and bright. Hopefully next week I will have pictures of that to show you as well. I have lots of 2 inch squares to make into 4 patches for various projects.
