Still reeling from a very busy life! I didn’t get a post put up last week AGAIN. Here is what I did do the past 2 weeks:
- Put together a puzzle
- started a cross stitch
- crocheted 1 scrubbie
- made 14 bead bracelets
- finished the crochet lap blanket…..that was intended to be a wrap.
At quilt guild we have put the traveling puzzles in the guild library for check out now. I decided to take this one home to do. I took it to my mom’s and had it done in 3 hours.
When done, I realized my wrap wasn’t wide enough, so it turned into a lap blanket instead. At small sewing group one of the gals gave me a bag of beads that her friend had given her. I made 14 bracelets so far with them. And, I managed to crochet 1 scrubbie while at small sewing group—before I got called to leave and pick children up from school.
You know me, always finding new projects to distract me from what I need to be doing. I went to a garage sale and found this cat cross stitch. I don’t have much done on it, and it’s huge, but it’s an easy one with the printed canvas. I also bought a large paint by number. Who knows when I might get some relax time to actually start that. Underneath the cross stitch is my Arkansas Crossroads quilt that I am very slowly working on ripping out all of the quilting I had done.
Here is what I should have been doing and need to do:
- Pack my projects for the quilt retreat next week
- Finish ripping out quilting on Arkansas Crossroads quilt and re-sandwich it.
Those are my two main goals as I will be working on several small projects at the 3 day retreat next week.
