What my title is referring to is the fact that once again I didn’t have enough strips sewn together to finish the locker hook rug. I even had sewn more together at home over the weekend to add on.
Last week’s to-do list:
- Work on a craft each day from the project boxes I brought.–didn’t happen
- Work on microwave cozies over the weekend.–finished 4
- Finish the lockerhook rug.–ugh
- Work on soda bottle cap trivets as I collect caps–somewhat
- Work on fabric bowls over the weekend.–done
I guess I set my items up for a picture at home, then forgot to take the picture. I finished 4 microwave cozies and worked on 4 fabric bowls, all in green. So, instead, so I have green to post this week, here is a green bottle cap trivet I have started. Doesn’t look the same green in the picture.
Here is the locker hook rug. I will once again sew strips together this coming weekend. I know this always happens. It really does take a lot more fabric to make these than you would think.
I was looking thru one of my upcycled t-shirt craft books and found some things I want to make. One was an arm knitted throw. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to cast on to my arm. So, I changed and started a finger crocheted one instead.
I brought my cat, Tippy Toes, to the little house to stay with me now. She’s taken over the blanket I put on the floor for my feet.
Let’s see what I need to work on this next week:
- Make hacky sacks to take to my booth.
- Work on pillowcases for charity.
- Finish the lockerhook rug.
- Work on soda bottle cap trivets as I collect caps
- Finish the fabric bowls over the weekend.

I think we all have those moments where we want to scream because we thought we could get more done than we actually accomplished! Your rug is really pretty, though. Hope you make good progress on it this week!
It’s been cold here too! Sorry you didn’t have enough things to work on. Looks though that you are making the place cozy with your little cat. So cute! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
