It was a wonderful weekend at the retreat, of course. Once again what I thought I could get done, and what I did get done, were 2 different things. I think that happens to all of us. Friday night I ended up bringing home the project boxes with the Arkansas Crossroads quilt and the blue rug. I knew if they sat there “taunting” me that I wouldn’t get the most important things done. Oh yeah, most of those didn’t get done, but at least got worked on.
I did complete a drawstring backpack with Iris print fabric for my middle daughter, but didn’t get a picture of it—oops. I also made a composition notebook cover with a motorcycle print. No picture for it either and my sewing partner bought it from me as soon as I had it made.
I took this picture from the corner of the room, so I got in as much as I could.
I got the last 3 rounds sewn on to the jelly roll log cabin. Now, how long it will take me to actually finish it is anyone’s guess.
I worked on drawstring backpacks. I at least got all of the straps made, now to finish putting them together.
I worked on pin cushion scrap bags. I forgot a funnel to actually fill and finish them. I did, however, finish one once I got home. Now to just fill and finish the rest!
I also finished a 10 inch square rag quilt!
And I can’t forget the purple squares. They are now 4 patches at least. Soon it will be time for another color with the soscrappy blog. Eventually I will turn these into pin cushions, doll blankets and hot pads.
I look forward to the next retreat that I get to attend at the end of October!
