It’s been almost a month since I put a post up. May has been busy with end of school activities with grandchildren. As well as an 8th grade graduation, 6th grade promotion, and high school graduation party. Mostly what has kept me busy is moving my craft room down to the basement. This is still not done.
The basement had to be cleaned out, things in my room packed up. Furniture moved to the basement. It’s close to being done minus sorting thru totes I packed. If there is no place for the item, it’s going to be gone. I will share a picture, or a video once I am set up completely.
This weekend we are camping for a grandson’s 16th birthday so there will be no time in the basement.
I’ve not gotten much done craft wise. I really wanted to sew once I got my machine up in the basement but knew that I need to finish the move before doing so.

Here is the last to-do list that I made:
- Finish the yellow plarn bag.–ran out of bags again. I have since gotten more, but no time to work on it.
- List an item each day on eBay, this is important for me to get back to.–fail, fail, fail. I think I’ve only listed one item period since making this list.
- Finish the current diamond art and start another one.–finished it but haven’t started another one.
- Finish the jigsaw puzzle at home.–I finally finished this as I felt I had to before I could start packing up my room. In such a hurry, I forgot to take a picture!
- At least take the opener and jar fabrics home ready to be worked on.–Yes, they are at home and in a drawer in my craft desk.
I do have a retreat coming up on the 17th, 18th, and 19th. I need to make baby blankets. Which means I need to get that fabric sorted so that I can pack up materials needed to get these done.
First weekend in May was the city wide yard sales here in Inman. I paid $6.75 for what’s in the picture. That rubber shelving that I will use in making the jar openers was only 25 cents. I cut for 14 openers from it!

Finished Diamond Art

In the evenings last week while I rested from packing and moving, I managed to make a rug from t-shirt strips. I made it specifically to go under the center of my crafting desk.

That, sadly is all I got done crafting wise since my last post. I did work some on the cross stitch at my small sewing group. I am also making a long rug to go in front of my crafting desk. I will show that once I am done with it.
As far as a list for this next week:
- Finish the yellow plarn bag.
- List an item each day on eBay, must must do this.
- Finish the rug for in front of my desk.
- Enjoy family time while camping.

Moving anything takes time, add in all the family events, it can feel like not much is getting done. Hopefully June will be calmer and more productive on the crafty front.
It takes time to reorganize a craft room after a move, but when it’s done you won’t believe how energized you’ll feel! Here’s to a great crafty June!
