Last week’s to-do’s:
- Start the minimalist challenge. Jan 1st get rid of 1 item, Jan. 2nd, 2 items etc etc.–working on day 10, so far so good.
- Really get back to listing an item on eBay daily.–failing again. I do have lots of pictures taken.
- Settle back into my “normal” routine.–after 2 weeks at home with a totally different routine, this is still a work in progress. I’ll get it then it will be spring break LOL
- Sew on the hand sewn quilt.–more on this below.

At home I stuck to working on making the plastic canvas blocks. I need to take some more yarn home from here. I have my whole cubby shelf of yarn here. I’m getting closer to having the little squares filled in, then to start making the actual blocks.

I couldn’t get myself motivated to start working on the hand sewn top until yesterday. I managed to get one block made, and get it sewn to the row. My blocks are a funny shape, 2×6 2 1/2 inch squares. Not sure why I started this way. I do have another block almost done.

Two weeks I didn’t have my normal activities outside of the home, most of these church related. However, we did have extra church services as well as family gathering times. It’s back to Tuesday evening Bible study, Wednesday night family night at church. This Thursday is the monthly meeting for the United Women of Faith and in 2 Thursday’s I plan to help pack commodities. And, of course, back here at the little house I have Lemmy for over 8 hours each day. I really missed her, especially her hugs, over the 2 weeks I was gone.
Over this next week I hope to:
- Keep decluttering the amount of items for what day of the month it is.
- Sew at least one more block for the hand sewn quilt and get another row sewn together.
- Keep active with my eBay.
- Fill in more plastic canvas squares while home for the weekend.

It is hard to get back on schedule after the holiday. I think I’m finally back in my groove and it’s the 8th day of the year. Good luck with your to do list for this week.
Oh yes – that dreaded getting back to schedule feeling haha!! you can do it!!
Marsha I think you’ve done well settling back in to “normal”. I didn’t go anywhere and seem to be really unsettled the past few days. Great work getting some more blocks done (both the plastic canvas and your hand sewn quilt blocks). Your design wall is filling up. Hope you’re having a good week and getting those check marks on your list.
Glad to see you easing back into normal life. That’s hard to do after a holiday! Have a great week. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
