Life….always throwing us for a loop. My mom passed away yesterday. We are thankful that it was fairly quick, that she didn’t suffer long. Down one day, hospice 2 days later and passed away 2 more days later.
With Christmas being next Wednesday I won’t be doing a post. I will be home for 2 weeks over the winter break time for the schools. I’m not going to make a to-do list, but I know what I “plan” to do while home for 2 weeks. Foremost is to get back to sorting and getting rid of excess in our house!
This is the list that I made for this past week:
- Prepare more projects for the sewing machine.-only one set of microwave cozies prepared but will not be taking my sewing machine home for the 2 weeks.
- Finish making all XML files for the traffic exchanges.–getting them slowly done
- 15 minutes on the sewing machine each day except Saturday.–have kept up with this but as I said above, not taking the sewing machine home over the holiday.
- Great Life now has an app so I want to read at least 1 ebook every week.–Finish reading the ebooks I’ve started and not finished yet. (Let me know if you would also like to read it and I will send it to you!)– We are on break until after the new year on the review zoom meetings, but no, didn’t finish the 2 I have started.
I bought a crocheted rug with Q hook pattern book at the Fair Priced Clothing store. The patterns are meant for yarn, but I am trying with t-shirt strips. This is the half round so far. I do plan to have some relaxing time over the 2 weeks working on these.
My 15 minutes a day using the sewing machine resulted in me getting these 9 fabric boxes this far. I will take them home and sew the flaps down over the 2 week break time.

I am so sorry. My condolences. Those fabric baskets are lovely. I mostly knit and find it to be very calming. The crochet rug is looking wonderful. Have peaceful and relaxing holiday.
