Last week was busy busy busy. I had the 3 day quilt retreat and I worked 3-3 hour days at the Fair Priced Clothing Store. The retreat was fun. Pictures later of what I finished. I found some good deals at the clothing store. I’m sure I didn’t need everything I bought, but that is the way it goes.
At home I started a jigsaw puzzle of a Harley Davidson motorcycle. I thought it was a good time to work on it in the evenings since my sewing machine would be at the retreat. Little did I realize just how hard the puzzle would be. I’m nowhere close to done with it. It’s ok I guess as I won’t really have to do much sewing after the retreat.
I didn’t end up posting last week as I was so tired and didn’t feel like being on the computer. I did have a list.
- Work on microwave cozies—I finished them
- Enjoy my 3 days at the quilt retreat getting done what I can.–report later in post
- Keeping working on eBay.–very frustrated. I’m trying to figure out to make a listing with variations for the key chains. Hours and hours of videos and reading help has not helped me.

I did finish the cozies before the retreat. I guess I forgot to take a picture of all of them. I made 8 of them. This is a picture of one set.

There is a non-working deep freeze in the basement (where I’ve moved my craft room). My husband says no way is he moving that heavy thing out. He made the suggestion that I used it for storing fabric. All of the fabric is not in it yet, but you get the idea. I think he had a good idea. I won’t close the door because I am afraid of moisture even though it’s not working and unplugged.

Coming back to Inman I decided to get out a diamond art. I didn’t realize the last ones I ordered are 6 x 6 inches. I’m ok with that but will have to find frames to out them in to. I love this blue butterfly.

I also did get the yellow plarn bag finished……..finally!

Now for the quilt retreat report. Not pictured, I pressed, cut, and sewed 49 straps for making the wristlet key chains. I pressed and cut strips of Fall/Thanksgiving and St. Patrick’s Day fabrics for making fabric banners. I finished a set of coasters with a skull print. And, I finished 7 table runners. (These are pictured on my design wall in the basement) I am very pleased with my progress and had a great time visiting and sewing with friends too. P.S. The ironing cart that I ordered from Amazon worked perfectly at the retreat. It’s not heavy to carry and I was able to keep my projects and supplies on the shelves.

So, over this next week I hope to:
- Work on the jigsaw puzzle
- Put together the wristlet keychains.
- Keeping working on and figure out the variations listing on eBay.

Sounds like it was a good week overall. Have you thought of taking the door off the freezer? It probably could be moved upstairs more easily than the whole freezer and make it easier to access whatever is behind it. I do think it makes a decent fabric storage area. Clever! Glad you are making forward progress on many items.
