Believe it or not, this week’s post only has to do with quilts. I’m happy with progress that I made all the way around this past week. Here is the to-do list I made last week:
- Finish the last 2 blocks on the hand sewn quilt and sew as many rows together as I can.–Done
- Sandwich the rick rack quilt.–Done
- Get out green scraps for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge color of the month.–Done
- Start writing more than one blog post a week.–2 additional posts written last week.

I did get the rick rack quilt sandwiched. Kind of did my lungs in by spray basting in the basement with the door closed over a well ventilated space. Not only did I get it basted, but got a start on machine quilting it as well.

I got out my green scraps for this months Rainbow Scrap Challenge color. I even got them pressed and cut for the blocks I am making. While I was at it I also got out fabrics to use for the first block in Melva’s Little House block sew along.

I did get the last 2 blocks sewn on my hand sewn quilt as well. I am happy with how many blocks I got sewn together and another row. I still have what seems like miles of sewing to go to get the top all sewn together and the borders sewn on. Can I make my goal of having this done and sandwiched before the spring break quilt retreat?

For this next week I hope to:
- Get the green pinwheel blocks made.
- Get the maple leaf block made for Little House
- Sew the rest of the blocks together on the hand sewn quilt.
