WIP Wednesday–Blocks, Puzzle, Flannel

Blocks, puzzle, and flannel wraps up the week of what I got done. My to-do list included:

1. Cut the green flannel squares. –done
2. Work on plarn bags.–didn’t get to this
3. Work on the other jigsaw puzzle while home. –moving along on it, didn’t want to leave town lol
4. Work on plastic canvas blocks (have a great grand turning 1 and it’s my tradition to give a set of 3 jingle bell blocks as my gift.)–had to finish them as I realized the birthday party is this Saturday.

Found out that this month’s color is yellow with the scrappy challenge. I did look through my fabrics here but sadly I don’t have my yellow. It’s my favorite color so I really do want to make some blocks this month. Hopefully I have some yellows at home.

This is the puzzle that I am currently working on. I really enjoy the puzzles that have distinct pictures.

I was surprised to see that I only put to cut the rest of the flannel blocks for the current rag quilt on my to-do list. I figured I had planned to also at least sew the x’s on them. This will go to next week’s to-do list.

I had to start out with some organizing of my squares. I had packed them up when I thought we were going to have to move. Next I had to fill in a few more to get the colors I wanted for Vadalia’s blocks. They are done and ready to be wrapped for her birthday gift. No one will be surprised as all babies get a set of 3 for their 1st birthday, or Christmas. (oh no, did I give her a set for Christmas?)

For next week I hope to:

1. Work on the plarn bags.
2. Keep filling in plastic canvas squares for more blocks.
3. Sew the x’s on the flannel squares.
4. Finish the jigsaw puzzle when at home for the weekend.
