A respite at home wasn’t really what I wanted but several people said it was necessary. I’ve spent a lot of time resting and waiting for my anxiety meds to kick in.
I only had 2 things on my to-do list last week not knowing how I was going to feel:
- Work on the trivet while at home. –Lots of this since it’s pretty much my only project at home.
- Finish the flannel rag quilt.–none of this

Short post this week for sure. I have worked on the trivets. I found a bag with some started. It was from when I did a demo in the domestic arts building at the state fair some years back. Sit in bed, watch TV and work on trivets. It’s ok, they need to be done and I have a LOT to make.

The plan is that I will be better enough to go back to babysitting Monday. My list is going to be the same as last week, but hopefully I will feel up to doing more.
- Work on the trivets while at home.
- Finish the larger rag quilt.

It’s amazingly hard to rest even when we need to. Hope you are feeling better soon.
I find it hard to rest too, when there’s so much sewing to do. But it’s important to take care of ourselves. As they say, there’s a reason flight stewards say to put on your mask first. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

I’m sorry to hear you needed that respite, but sometimes there’s just too much on our plates and we need to get away from it for awhile. Those trivets look perfect for a relaxing project while you’re resting. Take care, Marcia!
I hope you’ve been resting well and making your trivets, Marcia. Hugs.
