Sewing is my happy place….that and church. After not using my sewing machine for a couple weeks or so, I finally did this last weekend! I should have been unpacking and sorting more stuff in my new basement craft room/office. I actually did put away fabrics, but mostly I sewed. Picture coming later.
I had my to-do list from 2 weeks ago. Yes, I missed posting last week again. So many things going on that by the time I even really realized it was Wednesday it was evening. I really need to learn to type up my post in draft as I go!
- Finish the yellow plarn bag.–still need 2 bags!
- List an item each day on eBay, must must do this.–got more organized and did at least get a few listings up
- Finish the rug for in front of my desk.–done
- Enjoy family time while camping.—done……2 nights is never enough.

Here are a couple of pictures from the camping trip. The first is 4 geese that were always by our camp site. They honked each morning to wake us up too. The second photo is what me and Jordan seen on the nature hike. Hilarious! Look closely and see the Crocs shoes floating in the water.

I finished the runner rug for in front of my desk while on the camping trip.

I sewed the jar openers that I had ready, 8 of them. I also made 10 wristlet key chains. I got a start on microwave cozies too, but didn’t take a picture of those yet.

I ordered an ironing cart from Amazon that was delivered Sunday. It’s not the one I originally had on my wishlist as that one was out of stock. However, I am very pleased with this one and it was even a bit less money too! I’ve already used it pressing to prepare for items I plan to get made at the retreat next week. The stuff on the cart right now is just holding there for now.

This next week my to-do list includes:
- Work on microwave cozies
- Enjoy my 3 days at the quilt retreat getting done what I can.
- Keeping working on eBay.

Sometimes life requires detours and slow downs… no worries about missing last week. Everyone deserves a break. And, I agree, 2 nights of camping is never enough! 😉 Thanks for sharing in my Sew and Tell party.
You made good use of your increased sewing mojo after your trip. Happy sewing this week.
Looks like a fun and relaxing trip! Nothing better for getting your sewing mojo back. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
