Yellow has been my favorite color for a long time. You don’t see near enough quilts with yellow. Yellow is this month’s color with the Super Scrappy Challenge. More on this later in my post.
In the meantime, here is my to-do list from last week:
- Finish the Kodacolor jigsaw puzzle.–done
- Get back to listing 1 item each day on eBay.–so far so good
- Cut the blue and pink scraps left over into 5 inch and 2.5 inch squares.–almost done
- Work on a plarn bag.–done
- Find out the color of the month for March with Super Scrappy.–yellow!

After finishing the jigsaw puzzle, I spent the rest of the weekend sorting items for eBay and getting pictures taken and making listing notes. My middle daughter and I went to my brothers to look thru the rest of mom’s stuff that he had stored in his shed. Brought a lot of the stuff here to the little house and still have a large tote to look thru.
1 piece missing from the puzzle. I looked for it on the floor to no avail. This puzzle was hard, but fun too.

I have run out of yellow bags once again for the yellow plarn bag that I am working on. Guess it’s time to start on a gray bag. I didn’t want to bore you with a picture since I only got 5 or more rows done before running out.
I didn’t quite get all of the blue and pink scraps cut into squares. I will continue to work on that. I don’t have much in yellow scraps, but enough to make quite a few yo-yo’s. I did get some yellow yo-yo’s made.

This next week’s to-do list:
- Get the rest of mom’s stuff looked through.
- Continue to list 1 item each day on eBay.
- Finish cutting the blue and pink scraps left over into 5 inch and 2.5 inch squares.
- Work on a plarn bag.
- Get fabrics and batting cut to make more microwave cozies

Cutting up scraps takes a lot of effort. Looks like you’ve made good progress there. Good luck with this week’s to do list.
Yellow is such a happy color. No wonder you love it. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

Yellow was my grandma’s favorite color as well. 😉 Thanks for sharing in my Sew & Tell party.
Marsha, you commented that you wanted to make a playmat for your grands… There is a free playmat pattern available online from Joann’s. I found it a few years ago when I did a search. Suzy Quilts also has a pattern that is pieced, rather than applique. Search for that one as well. Good luck
Oh, how annoying to get to the end of the puzzle and have a piece missing! It does look great, though! You’re doing well with your scraps and yoyos! Thanks for joining in on Monday This and That! I will be featuring your post this week! xx
That puzzle is so cute!!! Sorry the last piece is missing!?! You’re doing great on cutting your scraps into useable sizes! They’re going to make a cute quilt!!!
