The weather has gone from frigid to spring like. I’m really hoping it stays! Ups my mood bringing on the Spring Fever.
My to-do list from last week included:
- Start packing for the spring quilt retreat.– I believe all I need to add to my bag are my numbered pins and rotary blades.
- Continue to look thru items in my room.–nothing done here
- Finish the little memory pillows for mom.–couldn’t get the words to come out right.
- Work on the yellow plarn bag.–ran out of yellow bags, of course. I hope I have more at home.
- Make more blue yo-yo’s for February’s color.–done with blue

35 blue yo-yo’s made. My plan is to cut 5 inch and 2.5 inch squares out of the remaining fabrics from the color of the month. I need to get on that.

My machine does not want to cooperate on making the letters for the memory pillows anymore. I cleaned it and it didn’t change. I managed 3 that would work so I did get those 3 memory pillows made. I have 5 more to make. I’m going to ask at the retreat if someone can help me with the words.

The pattern I am using to make the plarn bags says it takes approximately 60 bags. It’s over double that amount of bags. When I made them before I was using thinner strips of plastic. Now I am using thicker strips. I’m sure that is the difference, but I am happier with the sturdiness of these. I have ran out of yellow bags. I think I have more under my desk at home. If not, I will start on another color.

My list can look a little different for this next week:
- Finish the Kodacolor jigsaw puzzle.
- Get back to listing 1 item each day on eBay.
- Cut the blue and pink scraps left over into 5 inch and 2.5 inch squares.
- Work on a plarn bag.
- Find out the color of the month for March with Super Scrappy.

What pretty blue yo-yos! I was just looking at my yo-yo quilt and thinking about getting back to it! What a fabulous idea to make memory pillows. Like your plarn basket – great way to recycle!
