It’s been a couple of months now since I’ve taken time out to write a blog post. I’ve made a lot of items that have gone to my booth, but didn’t think to take pictures along the way.
I had taken a kit to make for charity for the self binding receiving blanket and matching burp rag. I read the instructions, which made no sense to me. I ended up using the youtube video and did a lot of rewinding and re-watching to finally get it.
I was given some flannel at the guild meeting, so I made another set to add to my booth.
Also at the same guild meeting I was able to pick up a table runner pattern and the mini tumbler template. This was fun to make using just fabrics that I already had over at my daughter’s house for projects. I will definitely be making more of these.
I brought the boys and started staying back at my own house about a month ago after 2 months staying with them at my daughters. She is still in the hospital and we are still waiting to see if her blood will behave enough for a transplant. Along the way also putting my mother into a nursing home, I filled my craft/sewing/office room with things from my mom’s apartment. I also threw a lot of bags and boxes around looking for items along the way too. I’m working to get myself out of the living room and back into my room. In my sorting I decided to sew the strips together as I found them with strips already in the project box. This will be another locker hook rug. I hope to start filling in the canvas at my small sewing group this Friday.
I need to find out who took over the to-do Tuesday linky, but for now I’m not worried about a to-do list and just want to to-do anything I can find time to work in during these extra chaotic times.
I am linking up with the following blogs:
