I intended to write a post last Wednesday. The day came to an end and I realized it was Wednesday. I’ve ended up doing a lot of things during these past 2 weeks (3 weeks?). I didn’t make a to-do list as I had no idea what I would work on.
The blizzard came in causing schools to be closed, as well as a lot of businesses. When churches cancel worship, you know it’s bad. In fact, my church has cancelled tonight’s activities too due to the “ice rink” of a parking lot.
I’ve been doing a lot of work inside my traffic exchange, Penguin Surfing. Updating the downline builder, making XML files for cross promos, updating the google calendar and making promo splash pages. So much of this work should have already been done!
Please right click to open any links in a new tab or window so that you don’t lose your place here on my blog. Thanks!
I did 2 jigsaw puzzles:
I finished the rug I was crocheting with t-shirt strips, then made one with yarn as well.
I finished the fabric bowls.
A friend from church bought at an estate sale and ended up with a lot of Thangles block kits. She doesn’t quilt so thought of me to give them to. I had to wait to start working on them until after Christmas. I will make all the blocks then decide what I will do with them. This is my first time using the Thangles papers.
I love the black and white. There aren’t many kits for the black and white, but I can see myself making a quilt later with just black and white.
I worked on the jingle bell blocks too. I didn’t take a picture until I get the last of them done.
I think for this next week:
- 1–Continue working on the Thangles blocks with the 15 minutes a day using the sewing machine.
- 2 –Finish the jingle bell blocks.
- 3 –Work on my project of sorting and then organizing ebay items.
- 4 –Work on little memory pillows for mom.
You never know what life will throw at you. You just have to take one day at a time and not get upset if your plans aren’t God’s plans for you that day.
I link up with the following blogs:
We must walk through life with the attitude and question… Is this a distraction or a divine intervention? I’ve never used Thangles before. I can’t see a real purpose for them… What’s your opinion? Thanks for joining my Sew & Tell party. 🙂
The Thangles papers make the half square triangles faster to make, but to be honest, if they hadn’t come with these block kits given to me, I wouldn’t spend the money to buy the papers. I could think of other quilt items or fabric that I could use that money for over the convenience.
I’m loving that black and white block too! What a pretty quilt that would make. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
