I started getting ready for this post yesterday then got sidetracked by my money making efforts. I really didn’t want to miss a week, so here I am posting it on Thursday.
Here is my list from last week:
- Keep decluttering the amount of items by what day of the month it is.–stopped after sorting hundreds of photos in one of the bin’s of my mother’s things.
- Sew at least 2 of the blue borders.–done
- Sew the blue pinwheel blocks.–done

It’s really important that I keep up the sorting and getting rid of things. I can’t get into why, but I can NOT stop working on this. I need to get us down down down in stuff. This will eventually include me getting rid of all fabrics and such that I just really don’t think that I will get around to using.
At home over the holiday weekend, I did indeed get the blue pinwheel blocks made. Looking forward to next month’s color to make more and in hopes of making it through the entire year this time with the scrappy color challenge.

Using blues, I did get 2 of my borders sewn together for my hand sewn quilt. It will be a long time before I actually get to sew them on, but I can see how they will look. I do so many things outside the home and here on the computers that I just don’t have the sewing time that I want. Still have my goal of having this top sewn and have it sandwiched to finish it up at a Spring quilt retreat.

We are expecting a snow storm Saturday. This probably means school cancelled, which then will have me at home more days than just the weekend. My list is going to reflect this.
- Get out the UFO quilt tops. Find fabric for a border on the one, and sew it on.
- Work as I can to get the last blocks made on the hand sewn quilt top and sew more sections together.
- Get more things looked through in my sewing room at home as well as get the other tote of my mother’s things looked through.
